McEnroe, Rafter Join #AskRF

London, U.K.

Federer© Roger FedererRoger Federer was in a festive mood as he took over Twitter.

It was the No. 1 trending topic on Twitter as Roger Federer took over for nearly two hours to welcome questions from fans.

It was too good an opportunity to miss for John McEnroe and Pat Rafter, who tweeted the 17-time Grand Slam champion from London, where they are competing at the Statoil Masters Tennis.

McEnroe asked: “@rogerfederer When are you going to start using me as your art advisor? Happy New Year. #askRF”

To which Federer responded: “@ChampionsTennis Let's talk about it in Australia John. Hope you're enjoying the #DidJohnMcEnroeJustAskMeAQuestion #askRF”

Rafter, who had a perfect 3-0 record against Federer on the ATP World Tour, teased the Swiss: “@rogerfederer When will you be ready to come onto the @ChampionsTennis and try to get your first win against me? #askRF”

To which Federer responded: “@ChampionsTennis Pat, I'll stay on the ATP tour as long as I can so I don't have to play you again #ScaryServeAndVolley”

Upon hearing Federer's response, Rafter laughed, "He's being cheeky! I know he wants to play me! He wants revenge. But it sounds like he's going to be on the tour for a few more years. So I'll probably be off the [ATP Champions] Tour by the time he gets on it."
