Three-time Australian Open runner-up Andy Murray faces Roger Federer for the 21st time in the quarter-finals on Wednesday. The duo's most recent meeting in their FedEx ATP Head2Head series came at the semi-final stage in Melbourne last year.

In that epic five-set battle, Murray overcame Federer and survived any looks the Swiss might have had on his second serve. This year, Murray looks to pressure Federer's serve throughout their battle; the Scot has won 61 percent of points returning second serves so far in the tournament. Importantly, he has put 83 percent of all returns back into play and is averaging two service breaks per set. Federer, meanwhile, has been broken just once in four matches.

In last year's semi-final, Murray created 16 break points against Federer and broke six times. It will be up to Federer to continue to serve well at this event: He has won 85 per cent of his first-serve points.
