World No. 1 Rafael Nadal has been nominated in two categories in the 2014 Laureus World Sports Awards, to be held in Kuala Lumpur on 26 March.

The Spaniard is in contention to win the Sportsman of the Year Award and the Comeback of the Year Award.

Nadal is up against sprinter Usain Bolt, racing driver Sebastian Vettel, footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and runner Mo Farah for the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year Award.

Last year, returned from a seven-month injury lay-off to win 10 tour-level titles in a career-high 14 finals and finished No. 1 in the Emirates ATP Rankings for a third time. He won Roland Garros for the eighth time, added a second US Open title and picked up five ATP World Tour Masters 1000 trophies.

Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan, who had an outstanding 2014 season and at one point held all four Grand Slam doubles titles and the Olympic gold medal, are nominated in the Laureus World Team of the Year category.
