Jeremy Chardy, who recorded the biggest win of his career in beating Roger Federer on Wednesday at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, reveals the Last Time…

I cooked for myself or others
Oh, never. Never! I hate to cook. Someone has to cook for me or I buy my own food.

I met a childhood idol
Three years ago, I met Pete Sampras. I have a picture with him and got his autograph.

I shared a hotel room with another player
Probably in team matches in the French league. We have to share a room.

I paid money to hire a tennis court or tennis balls
It was just before Madrid. I rented a court as I wanted to play on a better clay court, so I bought some tennis balls as well.

I forgot a family members’ birthday
I never forget, as I have my mother. My mother is the best! She will always text me.

I strung my own tennis racquet
I have never done it. I would have absolutely no idea of where to start.

I lost something important
I don’t think I ever have, as I am always careful and check. My girlfriend loses everything!

I played a sport that might have caused a minor injury
I played football from four years old to 14, so that was probably the last time.

I was asked if I was a tennis player
Sometimes people recognise you in the street and ask me if I am a tennis player. It happened at a restaurant in Paris.

Being well known helped me
Sometimes I ring to book a table at a restaurant and they say it is full. Then you talk more and you get a good table, which is nice.

I missed a flight
It was a Friday night last year, and the Paris traffic was bad. I don’t know what happened, but I missed it.

I played a match that no one watched
It was probably at a French tournament, when I was younger. When the referee gives you the balls and you walk off to the court.

I had an unusual fan request
Someone asked me to give them the socks I had worn. That is really strange!
