Roger Federer's Birthday By The Numbers
by ATP Staff|
It has been more than 16 years since an ambitious and audacious young man from Basel, Switzerland, dared to take the ATP World Tour by storm, bursting onto the professional scene and embarking on a career that has been lauded as one for the ages.
As Roger Federer turns 33 years old today, having competed on the ATP World Tour for more than half his life and with no intention of slowing down, we look back at the Swiss maestro's greatest achievements both on and off the court. Happy birthday Roger.
While he was selecting his favourite birthday greeting submitted by fans via Twitter, Federer was presented with a surprise 33rd birthday tray of sweets in the players' lounge. Federer closed out his 7-6, 6-7, 6-4 win over Cilic at 11:31 p.m. and was given the tray of sweets shortly after midnight.
