Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau kept up their hot run of form, defeating eighth-seeded Frenchmen Michael Llodra and Nicolas Mahut 7-6(1), 6-1 in second-round action, Thursday at the Rogers Cup in Toronto.

The Dutch-Romanian duo recorded their 12th win from their past 13 matches, including their triumphs in ‘s-Hertogenbosch and last week in Washington, D.C. They have captured five ATP World Tour titles this season.

Rojer and Tecau will next face defending champions and No. 2 seeds Alexander Peya and Bruno Soares.

Spaniards Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez, the No. 7 seeds, made their way safely through to the quarter-finals with a 6-4, 4-6, 10-3 win over Jamie Murray and John Peers. Granollers and Lopez finished runners-up to the Bryans two years ago in Toronto.
