Charities and Causes

Ace The Cancer was founded by Sergiy Stakhovsky in honour of his uncle, who passed away due to stomach cancer following a late diagnosis. The fund supports the National Institute of Cancer Ukraine, the nation's leading cancer centre, with the money going towards research and prevention of cancer in its early stages. Stakhovsky's father, Eduard, is a Professor of Oncology and works at the Institute.

Highlights

Ace The Cancer provides a $5 donation to the National Institute of Cancer Ukraine for each ace served by Stakhovsky during the ATP World Tour season, raising close to $4000 since May 2010. The Ukrainian periodically visits the National Institute of Cancer when he is in Kiev.

At the end of 2012, it was announced that in 2013, Ace The Cancer will receive a $10,000 grant from ATP ACES For Charity.
