Todd Martin
Charities and Causes
Founded in 1993, the mission of the Todd Martin Development Fund is to provide Mid-Michigan’s underserved youth with low-cost accessible programs designed to build self-esteem, personal responsibility, leadership and life-skills while reinforcing positive values through the sport of tennis.
The TMDF was founded with the desire to provide children in Martin's hometown of Lansing and the surrounding areas the opportunity to learn tennis in a constructive, safe, and enjoyable environment.
Highlights
The TMDF has expanded from its simple beginnings, now serving more than 600 youngsters in year-round programs operated in partnership with the City of Lansing Parks and Recreation Department and Court One Athletic Clubs. The organisation is a member of the United States Tennis Association/National Junior Tennis & Learning (USTA/NJTL) and has since added a Leadership Development program to its offerings, becoming a First Serve Chapter on 15 July 2009.
