Ranked No. 1 in the 14s, 16s and 18s in Chile during his junior days. A member of the ATP Board of Directors. Earned a career-high $59,720 in 1986. He finished No. 57 on the ATP computer rankings in 1985, a career year-end best. After 11 years on the tour, was Director of Tennis at the ATP Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida from 1989 to 1997 and then joined the USTA Player Development staff.
