Won Australia, France, Wimbledon and U.S. junior titles in sequence
1958, 59. Member of 1959 and 60 U.S. Davis Cup team. Coach of USTA junior
Davis Cup team in 1970.
He developed the six indoor court facility, Town and Tennis in St. Louis
in 1971. Co-sponsored and promoted Virginia Slims tennis tournament in St.
Louis with Coca-Cola in 1972. Tournament Director, WCT events in St. Louis,
1972-74.
Formed Tennis Management, Inc. and was chairman of the board, 1974-78.
Formed Sports Illustrated Tennis, a venture between Tennis Management,
Inc. and Sports Illustrated to operate tennis facilities throughout the
world, 1975-78.
Served as Executive Director of the ATP, 1979-83.
He is currently the Tournament Chairman of the Lipton International
Players Championships.
