Won the 1987 National Indoor Championships and reached the semifinals at
the Outdoor Championships in Czechoslovakia. He was runner-up in doubles (w/
Vajda) at the Outdoor.
A member of the winning Czech team in the 1984 Galea Cup along with
Mecir, Vajda and Novacek. He was runner-up at the Florence junior event and
quarterfinalist at the Orange Bowl in 1984.
Coached by Lubo Kurhajec. He started playing the pro circuit in 1983 as
an amateur.
He earned a career-high $16,287 in 1987 and finished No. 86 on the ATP
computer rankings after being No. 390 in 1986.
Suffered back problems in 1987 which limited his playing time.
