Enjoyed another strong year in doubles, winning five titles...Struggled early in singles, winning consecutive matches for first time in April, reaching quarterfinals at Sweden/Denmark 1 Satellite Week 4...Followed with second round at two Futures events...Lost next five main draw first round matches, but qualified at ATP event in Newport during that stretch...Then qualified and reached second round at $50,000 Binghamton, NY (l. to Bogomolov) and $50,000 Bronx, NY (l. to Suzuki)...Lost in qualifying in six of last nine events, with lone main draw win coming at $50,000 Carson, CA... In doubles, won $75,000 Nashville w/ Bozoljac and four Futures titles worldwide.
2004 - Turned pro after completing four-year collegiate career at Illinois (see below)...Went 2-5 in Challengers, reaching second round of Guadalajara, Mexico, and Champaign, IL (l. to Mamiit)...Lost to Gimelstob in consecutive weeks in first round of Homestead as a qualifier and Burbank...Went 11-3 in Futures, winning first pro singles title at Kenosha, WI, (def. Newport in final) and reaching semifinal in Irvine, CA...In doubles, won $50,000 Burbank and $10,000 Claremont (both w/Rainey)...2003 - Went 9-6 in Futures, posting an 8-3 mark over a three-week stretch in which he reached quarterfinals of Claremont as a qualifier (l. to Weiner) and consecutive semifinals in Ojai, CA, and Costa Mesa, CA...In doubles, made US Open debut w/ R. Ram as reigning NCAA champion (l. to Ginepri-Reynolds in first round)...Reached quarterfinals at $50,000 Denver, CO, and won $10,000 Chico, CA (both w/ Ram)...Doubles finalist w/ Rainey at $10,000 Sunnyvale, CA...2002 - Won three Futures titles in California w/ Rainey...Singles quarterfinalist at Fresno, CA...2001 - Doubles quarterfinalist at $50,000 Tyler, TX, w/ Russell...2000 - Won first pro doubles title at Tampa, FL w/ Laski (def.
