Nine years after Andy Roddick won his maiden title on green clay in Atlanta, ATP World Tour tennis returned to Georgia's capital city in 2010. Then followed two all-American finals between Mardy Fish and University of Georgia alum John Isner, with Fish twice prevailing in gripping contests to claim the hard-court crown at the Atlanta Tennis Championships.

Fish Retains Atlanta Crown
In a rematch of the 2010 Atlanta Tennis Championships final, World No. 9 Mardy Fish saved two match points against John Isner, defeating his compatriot 3-6, 7-6(6), 6-2 to repeat as champion. The title is Fish’s sixth overall in 18 final appearances, and it’s the first time he’s successfully defended a championship.
