Grand Prix Hassan II

A Royal Stop In Casablanca
The Grand Prix Hassan II, inaugurated in 1986, is entirely funded by Morocco's King Mohammed VI. Casablanca is the only ATP World Tour stop on the African continent. Two Moroccans have won the title in their home country: Hicham Arazi in 1997 and Younes El Aynaoui in 2002.

Anderson Bouncing Back - Kevin Anderson, who underwent minor elbow surgery in late January, fell in his first clay-court final and is now 2-3 in title matches.

Klizan Reaches SFs - Martin Kliza, who was bidding to capture his second ATP World Tour title, fell to Kevin Anderson 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 in the semi-finals.

Stan Gloes Close - Stanislas Wawrinka returned to Casablanca for the first time since winning the title on his 2010 debut (d. Hanescu). He lost to Tommy Robredo 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the semi-finals.

Tommy Robredo lifted his 10th clay-court trophy at the Grand Prix Hassan II, edging Kevin Anderson 7-6(6), 4-6, 6-3 in Casablanca. It was Robredo's first title in more than two years, having last triumphed in February 2011 at the clay event in Santiago.
