'Green City' Also Known For Great Tennis
Renowned for its yellow limestone architecture and for its reputation as 'The Green City,' Metz is a must-see French destination for international visitors. It is also home to the Moselle Open. Frenchman Arnaud Clement won the inaugural tournament in 2003, with countrymen Jerome Haehnel (2004), Gael Monfils (2009), Gilles Simon (2010) and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (2011-12) following his success.

Monfils Makes Comeback - After nearly four months out with a knee injury, Gael Monfils made a successful return to action as he ousted No. 2 seed Philipp Kolschreiber to reach the semi-finals (l. to Seppi).

Davydenko Works Hard - Former World No. 3 Nikolay Davydenko played eight sets to reach the semi-finals (l. to Tsonga in three sets), including saving a match point to beat Ivo Karlovic in the quarter-finals.

Tsonga Retains Metz Crown
World No. 6 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga stormed to a repeat victory at the Moselle Open, dismissing Italy’s Andreas Seppi 6-1, 6-2 in just 50 minutes. One year earlier, Tsonga had beaten Ivan Ljubicic in the final. The 27-year-old Tsonga captured his ninth ATP World Tour title and second of the season.
