The One That Got Away - Rome is one of the few ATP World Tour Masters 1000 titles that Roger Federer hasn’t won. The Swiss was runner-up in 2003 (l. to Mantilla) and 2006 (l. to Nadal).

Looking to Regain Crown - World No. 1 Novak Djokovic is looking to win back the Rome trophy after losing out to Rafael Nadal in the 2012 final. The Serb won the title in 2008 (d. Wawrinka) and 2011 (d. Nadal).
