Emmrich Weds Krajicek In Prague
Doubles star Martin Emmrich marries WTA player Michaella Krajicek
Martin Emmrich famously proposed to WTA player Michaella Krajicek last year on court in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, and on 25 July, the pair wed in Prague.
“It was an absolute dream wedding with family and our closest ones with us and huge fireworks at the end,” Emmrich told ATPWorldTour.com of the occasion held at Zamek Dobris (Castle Dobris). “In my best dreams, I could not have imagined it any better!”
The couple met at the Topshelf Open in 2013 and after 10 months together, Emmrich surprised Krajicek by dropping to one knee in front of the ‘s-Hertogenbosch crowd, saying: "We’ve now been together for 10 months and every time I look into those beautiful Bambi eyes I know that I want to spend the rest of my life with you."
The 30-year-old German has won three ATP World Tour doubles titles. Krajicek, 26, has claimed three singles titles and is the younger sister of former World No. 4 Richard Krajieck, the Tournament Director of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam.
