    • Began playing tennis at age 4 with his family: "I come from a pretty big tennis family. My sister would be practising and I would be running around on the other side of the court. At one point, I grabbed a tennis racquet and started hitting on the wall. I eventually hit with my parents and that's how it started. I just fell in love with the sport."
    • Father, Nick, and mother Galina are tennis coaches.
    • Role model is sister Katie (eight years older), an English professor and former college tennis player at Florida State University.
    • Played college tennis at Texas Christian University for 4 years (2016-19), earning a degree in communication studies with a business minor. Dream job is to own a business.
    • Favourite shot is forehand and surface is clay.
    • Lists his favourite tournament as the US Open and city on tour is New York.
    • Idol growing up was Rafael Nadal: "The way Rafa moves and looks for his forehand, I try to model myself after that. But it's more of how he is as a competitor. No matter the tournament he's playing. It could be a 250 or a Slam, he's going to come out and treat it the same. He respects everybody, but is absolutely ruthless and fearless. He's not going to give you one shot and will treat every shot like it's his last. Him and Roger have set such a good example as people. Treating the ballkids and officials well. You need to have that respect. They embody that."
    • Played two years at Texas Christian University with current ATP Tour star Cameron Norrie: "He helped me a lot and was like a big brother to me. He's one of my best friends to this day. It was awesome playing with him. He was the No. 1 and I was the No. 2 on the team for two years. He's one of the best competitors I've ever seen. Learning from him and pushing each other in practice definitely helped me get to where I am right now."
    • Says his best quality is being a persistent hard-worker and worst quality is being a perfectionist.
    • Best advice received: "Treat everyone with respect. Tennis player or not, we're all people. There's no reason to look down on people."
    • Favourite sport is basketball and supports the Miami Heat of the NBA. Dwyane Wade is his favourite player. Also a fan of the New York Giants (NFL).
    • Favourite TV show is La Casa de Papel (Money Heist) and top movie is Focus.
    • Enjoys listening to Quinn XCII and Daddy Rich.
    • Lists 'Call of Duty' video game as his secret talent.
