Friends refer to Frederico as "Shark" or "Sensei." Frederico began playing tennis at the age of six with his father at a local club. At 19, he moved to Barcelona to pursue a professional tennis career. Father, Joao, is a managing director of an international company and his mother, Maria, is a housewife. Has a brother, Joao, who is a director at a bank. Hobbies include playing and watching soccer and supporting the S.L. Befica football club. Frederico likes triathlons, seeing films and spending time with friends. If he was not involved with tennis, he would have wanted to be a triathlete or a businessman. Currently working at the BTT Academy in Barcelona.
