    Born in England and moved to New Zealand at age four. Began playing
    tennis at age eight and was picked for the first New Zealand squad at age 10.
    The New Zealand national 12s doubles champion in 1986 and 12s singles
    and doubles champion in 1987, 13s singles and doubles champion in 1988, 14s
    singles and doubles champion in 1989 and 16s singles and doubles champion in
    1990. Won the Wimbledon & French Open Junior doubles titles in '93 (w/Downs).
    Finished as the world's top-ranked Junior doubles team in '93 (w/Downs).
    Enjoys dance music and snooker.
    Parents Angela and Barry are self-employed.
