Jonsson). Turned pro in 1990 after outstanding four-year collegiate career at the Univ. of Miami where he was a four-time All-American from 1987-90. Reached the NCAA singles QF in '89, his best finish. Ended the year with rankings of No. 14, 16, 28 and 17, during his career. Graduated with a degree in International Finance and Marketing. Began playing tennis at age eight at his grandparents' summer house since they had a nearby court. Father, Ulf, is a journalist; mother, Krist- ina, works in the Shell Co. administration office. Has older sister, Helena. Enjoys playing basketball and played soccer from ages 5 to 14 and bandy (a Swedish game resembling ice hockey and soccer) from ages 10-15. Likes rock music and playing golf. Coached by Peter Runsjo of the RLTK (Royal Lawn Tennis Klub). Captured his first career tour doubles title at Palermo on Oct. 4, 1992 with countryman Ola Jonsson.
