    • Ranking: The Russian broke into Top 100 as 31-year-old on Aug. 1, 2016 following run to Astana, KAZ Challenger final. Achieved career-high No. 78 on Nov. 7, 2016 soon after winning Tashkent, UZB Challenger title. Before reaching year-end Top 100 in 2016, finished 8 straight seasons ranked between No. 140 and No. 276 (2008-15).
    • Milestones: Seeking 1st ATP World Tour QF after falling in 2R at 6events from 2006 to 2017. Won 2 of his 3 ATP Challenger Tour titles in 2016 at Busan, KOR (d. Evans) and Tashkent, UZB (d. Istomin). Eight-time Challengerrunner-up, including 3 times in 2016: Taipei, TPE (l. to Evans); Fergana, UZB (l. to Albot) and Astana, KAZ (l. to Donskoy). Saved 2 MPs to beat Pella 67 76 76 in 2016 Gstaad 1R for 1st ATP win since 2013 St. Petersburg (d. Zeballos in 1R). Suffered 11-match tour-level losing streak following victory over Pella.
