Enjoys golf, reading (Wilber Smith books), pinball, and Corvettes. Turned pro in October 1991. Won his first pro title at the Brunei Challenger on Nov. 8, 1992 and improved from 462 to 290 on the IBM/ATP Tour Rankings. Personal: After retiring from the ATP Tour in 1997, started working in the family garden center but then moved into the financial services industry, currently with Merrill Lynch...Still has time for tennis pro-ams and working with select juniors...Wife, Annie and children, Brett, Louis and Gloria.
