    Year-by-Year Highlights:
    1991- Second round at Long Island (d. Mansdorf).
    Played his first two collegiate seasons at the Univ. of Georgia in 1990-
    91 before transferring to the Univ. of South Florida.
    Reached the NCAA singles final in May '91, losing to Jared Palmer of
    Stanford. Finished the year ranked No. 2 in singles and No. 17 in doubles.
    He began the season unranked but quickly asserted himself as one of the
    country's top players.
    Prior to enrolling in college, he ranked No. 9 in the world juniors
    rankings in 1989. He won the South America 16-under in 1987 and 14-under in
    1985. He also won the Banana Bowl in Brazil in 1989.
    He qualified (unranked) at Long Island in August 1991, upsetting No. 51
    ranked Amos Mansdorf in the first round before losing to John McEnroe.
    He is a biology major and has four brothers and one sister.
