    • Nickname is Hopper.
    • Father, Tim, is a doctor; mother, Wendi Le; brother, Liem.
    • Family heritage is American, Vietnamese and Polish. Mother was born in Vietnam and came to the U.S. at age five. Father is half American and Vietnamese, but born in Poland. Last name 'Kwiatkowski' is Polish.
    • Started playing tennis at age 5 because his grandma played a lot at their local tennis club in North Carolina. They would hit after she finished her matches.
    • Began traveling to youth tournaments at age eight with his father: "My dad didn't know too much about the game, but we just strived to get better in competition. And because of that I've always been a fighter. I haven't had the biggest weapons, but I played a ton of matches in my life and worked hard for it."
    • Favourite surface is hard court, shot is slice backhand and tournament is US Open.
    • Idol growing up was fellow University of Virginia alum Somdev Devvarman.
    • Graduated from University of Virginia in 2017, where he won NCAA singles title as a senior and led Cavaliers to 3 straight NCAA team titles (2015-17).
    • Working to grow the game in his ancestral Vietnam, playing exhibitions with WTA player Alize Lim and doing kids clinics in Ho Chi Minh City.
    • If he wasn't playing tennis, he would do something with his business degree.
    • Enjoys playing poker, reading and swimming.
    • Avid reader: "My goal is to read 50 books a year. I'm trying to read more. I try to split between fiction and non-fiction. I didn't read too much after graduating college because I was burnt out, but one thing on the tour that I've missed is that my brain doesn't get exercised as much. It's good to read for enjoyment. I love all the classics."

    • Achieved career-high No. 181 on 3 February 2020 after winning Newport Beach, USA Challenger title.Broke into Top 200 on 30 September 2019 after reaching Tiburon, USA Challenger SF. Earned 1stranking point at age 15 on 8 November 2010.
    • Still seeking 1st tour-level win of career (0-4). Made ATP Tour debut at 2017 Newport as WC (l. to Gojowczyk in 1R). Also lost in 1R at 2017 US Open as WC, 2018 Washington as Q and2019 Washington as Q.
    • Fell in Grand Slam qualifying at US Open in 2016, 2018 and 2019, as well as at Australian Open in 2020. Lost his lone ATP Masters 1000 qualifying match at 2019 Montreal.
    • Captured 1st ATP Challenger Tour title in 1st final at 2020 Newport Beach, USA. Added 2020 Indian Wells, USA Challenger doubles title in team debut w/Kudla.
    • Peaked at No. 13 in junior rankings on 11 March2013. Went 76-41 on ITF JuniorCircuit, highlighted by run to 2012 Orange Bowl SF (d. Garin in 3R, l. to Djere).
