Murray, Lendl To Reunite

World No. 2 looks for more success with former coach

Andy Murray and Ivan Lendl are back together again.

Murray and Lendl announced today that they'll reunite this week at the Aegon Championships in London, where Murray is the top seed and looking to defend his title. The two previously worked together for about two years. During that time, Murray won the 2012 London Olympics gold medal and his two Grand Slam titles (2012 US Open, 2013 Wimbledon).

“I had two very successful years working with Ivan, he's single minded and knows what it takes to win the big events. I'm looking forward to Ivan joining the team again and helping me try and reach my goals,” Murray said.

Lendl, an eight-time Grand Slam champion, said he's eager to rejoin Murray's team.

“I enjoyed working with Andy in the past,” Lendl said. “Andy and I have always stayed in contact so it should be fun to be part of his team again.”

Lendl will work with Murray's full-time coach Jamie Delgado and other existing members of his team. Murray and former coach Amelie Mauresmo split last month after working together since June 2014.
