Haas Visits Children's Hospital, Doubles Teams Give Tips At Queen's Club
It hasn't all been about tennis for players this week. ATPWorldTour.com provides a recap of the highlights.
Aegon Championships (London, England)
“It is always fun to play with kids and I’m happy I could be here today to support British Tennis and the Schools Programme,” said Nadal. “It was nice to see the smiles on their faces. I have my own foundation, which offers educational programs to the deprived, with a common denominator: sport. It’s a great way to be introduced to sport in schools and I hope I can inspire more to play tennis.”
GERRY WEBER OPEN (Halle, Germany)
Tommy Haas spread cheer and handed out GERRY WEBER OPEN teddy bears at the Bethel children's hospital in nearby Bielefeld. He also presented a €20,000 donation to the hospital on behalf of the tournament.
The GERRY WEBER OPEN continued its on-going charity efforts with a €5,000 donation to the Wertkries social facility. Andreas Seppi presented the cheque on his visit to the workshop.
