David Egdes began serving as an ATP Player Board Representative for the International region in January 2009, and was re-elected for a new three-year term starting January 2012. The South African native serves as Senior Vice President of Tennis Industry Relations at Tennis Channel in Santa Monica, Calif. David joined the network after serving for five years as Vice President of World Team Tennis in Los Angeles and has close to 10 years of professional tennis experience as an executive and agent at IMG. He was Tournament Director of the Tennis Channel Open in Las Vegas from 2007-08. From 1991 to 1997 Egdes worked as an associate attorney in the Los Angeles legal practices of Crowe & Day and Breidenbach, Swainston & Way. He handled general civil litigation for both firms. Egdes holds a law degree from the University of Houston Law Center and a bachelor of arts degree in political science and history from Trinity University in San Antonio, where he played for the men�s tennis team and was an all-American in 1984.
