After moving into Top 100 for first time in 1995, struggled in ATP Tour play...Won consecutive matches just once during the year, beating Voinea and Schaller en route to 3rd RD in Kitzb�hel...Played mainly Challengers over final six months, reaching Szczecin final (l. to Szymanski) in early June and successfully defending Azores title (d. L. Herrera) in September...Also reached Challenger QF in Alicante and Geneva...In doubles, best Tour result was finalist effort in Bournemouth (w/R. Gilbert)...Excelled in Challengers, winning doubles titles in Budapest (w/Van Houdt), Merano (w/Cunha-Silva), Alicante (w/Conde) and Oporto (w/Couto), while also reaching finals in Szczecin (w/Couto) and Segovia (w/Conde)...Finished No. 83 in doubles.
